Sector · Logistics & Transport

Half your office is answering “where is it?”

In most transport businesses the single biggest consumer of office time is not planning or invoicing. It is telling people where their thing is — a question the system could answer itself, if anyone had built it to.

The Hidden Cost

Every status call is a job you already did.

The delivery happened. The driver knows. The paperwork is in the cab. But the customer does not know, so they ring, and somebody in the office stops what they are doing, rings the driver, and rings the customer back. That round trip costs three people's attention to move zero goods.

The same pattern repeats on proof of delivery. The docket exists — on paper, in a jacket, photographed on a phone — and the invoice waits on it. Cash sits still because a piece of paper is in a van.

Neither is a planning problem. Both are visibility problems, and visibility is cheap to build once somebody decides to.

What Gets Built

Paperwork that moves at the speed of the lorry.

Electronic proof of delivery

Signature, photo and timestamp captured on the phone and attached to the job before the driver has pulled away.

Customer visibility

A tracked link so the customer answers their own question and the phone stops ringing.

Job & run planning

What is going where, on which vehicle, with what still unallocated — visible rather than in a planner's head.

Driver paperwork

Checks, defects, hours and dockets captured in the cab instead of arriving in a bundle on Friday.

Invoicing on delivery

The invoice raised off a completed job automatically, not two weeks later when the docket resurfaces.

Customs & documentation

The document pack that has to be right and complete before a load moves, assembled and checked rather than remembered.

Built For The Cab

It has to work at a loading bay with one bar of signal.

Offline first. Capture works with no signal and syncs when it returns. A driver should never be blocked by coverage.

Seconds, not screens. A POD should be a signature and a photo. Anything more gets skipped, and a skipped POD is an unpaid invoice.

Connects to what you run. Telematics, accounts and any TMS you already have — we fill the gap rather than replace the fleet system.

Failure is visible. A sync that did not happen raises a human. Silent failure in logistics means an invoice nobody knew was missing.

Questions

The ones we actually get asked.

We have telematics already. Is that not the same thing?
Telematics tells you where the vehicle is. It does not tell your customer where their goods are, capture a proof of delivery, or release an invoice. They complement each other, and the connection between them is usually what is missing.
Our drivers are not technical.
They do not need to be. A proof of delivery should be a signature and a photo, on a big-target screen that works with gloves and no signal. If it takes more than a few seconds it gets skipped, and every skipped POD is an invoice waiting to be disputed.
What is the fastest thing to fix?
Electronic proof of delivery, almost always. It converts directly into faster invoicing and fewer disputes, and it removes a chunk of the where-is-it calls as a side effect.
Can this handle customs paperwork?
Document packs can be assembled, checked for completeness and flagged before a load moves. What we do not do is give regulatory advice — we build the system that makes sure the pack your broker or compliance people specify is actually complete before the wheels turn.
