Sector · Agriculture & Agritech

The paperwork on a farm has outgrown the kitchen table.

Irish agriculture carries a compliance and record-keeping load that would stagger most office businesses — and it is carried by people who are outside all day. The records are not the work, but failing them stops the work.

The Load

Records that must exist, kept by people who are in a field.

Movements, medicines, inputs, sprays, feed, milk, yields, quality assurance schemes, inspections. The obligations are real and the consequences of getting them wrong are financial and immediate — but the person responsible is doing physical work in bad weather, and the record gets written later, from memory, in a notebook.

That gap between when a thing happens and when it gets recorded is where the risk lives. It is also where the opportunity lives, because capturing a record at the moment of the event is a solved problem if the capture takes five seconds and works with no signal in a shed.

The same applies right up the chain. Co-ops, processors, merchants and agri-service businesses are all handling the same information repeatedly, mostly by re-keying it from somebody else's paperwork.

What Gets Built

For farms, and for the businesses around them.

Compliance records

The evidence a scheme or inspection requires, captured as it happens rather than reconstructed the week before.

Traceability

Where it came from, what went into it, where it went — assembled continuously so a query is a search, not an excavation.

Field & shed capture

Five-second logging on a phone, offline, with gloves on and rain falling. Anything slower gets left until later, and later means never.

Supplier & merchant systems

Orders, deliveries, dockets and accounts for the businesses serving farms, without re-keying somebody else's paperwork.

Grant & scheme paperwork

The documentation a scheme demands, assembled from records you already keep instead of gathered from scratch.

Agritech products

If you are building a product for this sector, this is a full-stack build house that already works in regulated, record-heavy domains.

Built For The Conditions

If it needs signal and clean hands, it does not work.

Offline by default. Half of rural Ireland has patchy coverage and every shed is a faraday cage. Capture must work regardless and sync later.

Seconds per record. Big targets, few fields, sensible defaults. A record that takes a minute will be written up on Sunday night from memory, which defeats the purpose.

Your data is yours. Farm data is commercially sensitive and increasingly valuable. It should not be the price of using the software.

We do not give scheme advice. We build the system that captures and assembles what your adviser, co-op or scheme specifies. The compliance judgement stays with the people qualified to make it.

Questions

The ones we actually get asked.

Do you build for farms, or for agribusiness?
Both, though the shapes differ. On-farm the constraint is capture — seconds, offline, one-handed. Up the chain, in co-ops, merchants and processors, the problem is usually the same information being re-keyed between organisations that all already have it.
Will it work where there is no signal?
It has to. Anything built for this sector captures offline and syncs when coverage returns, and it is tested that way rather than assumed. A system that needs signal in a shed is a system nobody uses.
Can you help with scheme and grant paperwork?
We build the system that captures and assembles it from records you are already keeping. We do not give scheme or regulatory advice — that judgement belongs with your adviser or co-op, and the software should make their job easier rather than replace it.
We are building an agritech product. Can you build it?
Yes. That is straightforward custom software development, and this sector suits us because we already work in regulated, record-heavy domains where an auditor may eventually read every row.

Tell us what the week actually looks like.

Describe it in your own words. Ray comes back with an opportunity brief, a business case and a scoped, priced proposal — usually in minutes. Free, no sales call, and a human signs off everything before it reaches you.
